Athelstone CFS: Want to join us?

We are currently seeking limited numbers of new members.

Athelstone CFS is a volunteer emergency service that responds to:

Fires (building fires and bushfires)
Road crashes
Hazardous Materials incidents
Other incidents (including ground crew support to firefighting aircraft)

If you’re over 18, reasonably fit and capable, want to serve the community and can commit time to weekly training and responding to emergency calls then you can become a volunteer firefighter.

Members need to live close to the Fire Station to ensure effective response times to incidents (approximately 4-5 minutes from the station). Google Maps can provide your distance & time from the station located at Greenbank Road, Athelstone.

In the Recruitment Form, please make reference to all the dot points listed below

• A little bit about yourself (hobbies, sport, job, age)
• Why you want to get involved in the CFS
• How close you are located to the station (provide address)
• Your ability to attend most Wednesday night trainings
• Your ability to attend incidents that can occur at any time of the day
• Please be as detailed as you can with your answers

Or simply come down on a Wednesday night around 6:30pm - 7pm to have a discussion about how you can get involved.
