Athelstone CFS is a volunteer emergency service that responds to:
Fires (building fires and bushfires) Road crashes Hazardous Materials incidents Other incidents (including ground crew support to firefighting aircraft)
If you’re over 18, reasonably fit and capable, want to serve the community and can commit time to weekly training and responding to emergency calls then you can become a volunteer firefighter.
Members need to live close to the Fire Station to ensure effective response times to incidents (approximately 4-5 minutes from the station). Google Maps can provide your distance & time from the station located at Greenbank Road, Athelstone.
