Athelstone CFS has 5 appliances, which when combined with its volunteers gives it the capability to respond to a range of incidents in the local area and beyond.

Athelstone 34P is the primary response appliance for the local Athelstone area and responds to structure fires, road crashes, bushfires and other emergencies.

Athelstone 34P is 4WD, carries 3,000L of water and hydraulic road crash rescue equipment.

Athelstone 24P is setup to respond to hazardous material incidents as well as bushfires, structure fires and other emergencies. Athelstone 24P is also the primary appliance when the need for a Strike Team arises from the East Torrens Group.

Athelstone 24P is 4WD, carries 2,000L of water and a variety of hazardous materials response equipment.

Athelstone Tanker is an appliance with a multitude of uses as it can be utilised as a bulk water carrier, a direct firefighting unit or an air support appliance.

Athelstone Tanker carries 8,000L of water and a range of hoses and fittings to support its multiple roles.

Athelstone HSV or Helitak Support Vehicle is setup specifically to provide ground crew support to aerial firefighting helicopters, including the Erickson Aircrane.

Athelstone HSV is 4WD and carries 1,000L of firefighting foam.

Athelstone QAV or Quick Attack Vehicle has the ability to be used for bushfire fighting, air support ground crews or as an incident command vehicle.

Athelstone QAV is 4WD and carries 400L of water.
