Air Support

Roles and Responsibilities

During the fire danger season, aerial support is available to aid the grounds crews in combating bushfires.

When multiple drops or 'bombing' is required then air support is responded to support the aircraft.

As a state air support brigade we can be required to travel anywhere within the state. Some of these locations recently included Woodside and Mount Crawford in the Adelaide Hills as well as Stirling North and Kangaroo Island.
